HI everyoneI got bored for a minute and decided to take some more pictures of my permanent anklets. The flad large anklet, i purchased from the taobao store “Titanium Hibiscus permanent bracelet piercing” owned by “weifengmei55”. The owner is a great and amazing person and was so wonderful and helpful to me, as a foreigner, trying to order from China. I have wanted to wear permanent anklets for a very long time and with this anklet i was finally able to fulfill that dream.
I still get nervous when i wear shorts in public during the summer time. All my anklets are very noticeable and obvious and unremovable. The anklet from weifengmei55 would be very hard to remove and is a real commitment. I tried marking it on the underside with a tool and the hardened titanium did not scratch or etch at all. The store owner quenched the anklet for additional hardness!! I am not even sure how this anklet could ever be removed even if i had to but that is what i have committed too.
Initially i wore the anklet for a week with a piece of tape to ensure the fit is perfect, which it was! I was very nervous when taking off the tape to use the springs and pins to make it permanent. I cleaned it one last time, before placed the closing piece into the slots on the anklet's inside opening. After lining up the opening piece i slid it halfway down exposing the pin and spring holes ever so slightly. My hands were shaking as i had a thousand thoughts go through my head; how would i ever remove it ?, what will people think? What will i say to my family? I started sweating as i was placing the springs in the hole. My hands kept slipping. I must have dropped the first pin several times. After getting the second pin with spring into the hole of the locking piece, it was time to depress both to slide the locking piece into place. I then depressed with my thumb and index finger both spring pins in and started sliding the locking piece into place.
It was a very tight fit and as i was sliding it down and into place, my wife started calling for me as i was in my work room alone. I thought if i don’t do it now and push it down i will “chicken-out” and delay making it permanent. I was very nervous!!! As time, all the sudden, was pressing and my wife and i were heading out for an event, I felt rushed. I just suddenly pressed down and slid the locking piece as far as i could into the slot. AND there it was; a distinctive high pitched click in two places at the same time. The locking piece stopped sliding. It was done the anklet was permanently locked on my left foot. There was no way to take it of!!! No way to ever remove it from me. My family names engraved on it, will be with me at all walks of like, forever. I stood up and for a moment look at the large oval flat titanium band on my anklet. It measured 6.5cm x 9.4cm and was 2cm high and 1cm thick hardened titanium.It was large and very noticeable, the weight was perfect. All my fears of fit and finish suddenly went away as it no longer mattered. The anklet became a part of me a second ago and my ankle would adapt to the new permanent feel. It felt perfect!!!
I cannot stop looking at it!!!! I love this feeling!!! I can only recommend this anklet and the store. The owner has become a good friend throughout the process. Anyone wearing other anklets should checkout this store!!!!!!!!!
